Frank C.Y. Chiu
About meI am currently a Research Engineer II at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. My supervisor is Dr. Justin Romberg. I received my Ph.D. in December 2023 from the University of California, Berkeley, in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. I was advised by Dr. Shankar Sastry in the Berkeley AI Research Lab. Please call me Frank. In my research, I design algorithms to characterize, predict, and influence multi-agent human-machine and machine-machine interactions. I focus in particular on studying the following facets of decision-making in the context of modern and next-generation transportation systems:
My work applies mathematical tools in game theory, mechanism design, control theory, and dynamical systems theory to address pressing problems in traffic control, multi-agent path planning, and other engineering applications.
